Tuition Benefit Program Eligibility Criteria
Employment Requirements
- Must be employed 20 hours a week as a TA,TF, RA or GSA. Eligible jobs:
- Teaching Fellow (TF): Job Codes 0802, 0803
- Teaching Assistant (TA): Job Codes 0812, 0813
- Research Assistant (RA): Job Codes 0822, 0823, 0842, 0843
- Graduate Services Assistant (GSA): Job Codes 0832, 0833, 0852, 0853
- Recipients must be employed on or before the 12th class day (census date) of the semester.
Enrollment Requirements:
- Students must complete a minimum of 9 graduate credit hours (GCH) at the 5000 or 6000
level during each fall and spring semester in which TBP is received.
- Students not enrolled in 9 GCH must have an approved Reduced Course Load Request via one of the following:
Admission & GPA Requirements:
Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA to be eligible for TBP.
Exclusions
Recipients of the following programs are subject to reduction or cancellation of TBP:
- National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellows
- Graduate Research Training Initiative for Student Enhancement (G-RISE)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) Fellows
- Tuition and fee waivers including Hazlewood Exemption and Good Neighbor Scholarship
- Students receiving the Employee Tuition Benefit are eligible to receive partial funding
